Quinn strives to ensure policies, procedures and work instructions are of the highest quality and reflect the best practices of our industry.

Quinn maintains its own corporate quality and information system, which is used to communicate and train. Employees are encouraged to assist in our improvement efforts by providing updates and input on our documents.

Quinn’s Business Process Department is responsible for supporting quality activities and assist department managers by facilitating quality improvement sessions, assisting management with documentation, tracking statistical records and quality training.

Quinn strives to ensure policies, procedures and work instructions are of the highest quality and reflect the best practices of our industry. All physical or administrative tasks are formed to quality standards as required by company policy, customer contracts, or governing legislation. These standards can be found in many areas of the company including Quinn’s QA/QC Manuals, Safe Execution Value Stream and Safety Manuals.

QUALITY CONTROL TRAINING

To ensure consistent delivery of quality work in every project, field and site leadership are required to complete Quinn’s own six-day Quality Control training program. The curriculum covers every aspect of Quinn’s quality control cycle, from welding procedures, to materials, to codes and standards and thorough review of all completed work.

To successfully complete the program, participants must possess an in-depth understanding of:

  • quality, quality assurance and quality control
  • roles of personnel involved in Quality Control / Technical Services
  • how to achieve quality
  • how to maintain and improve quality.

Our clients expect quality service and quality workmanship. The ultimate goal of Quinn’s Quality Control training program is to instil a genuine culture of quality that permeates every facet of the Quinn organization.

ALBERTA BOILERS SAFETY ASSOCIATION

Quinn Contracting is certified by the Alberta Boilers Safety Association (ABSA) with a Pressure Piping Construction Quality System Manual.

Quinn is certified to perform the following work:

CONSTRUCTION, REPAIRS AND ALTERATIONS

  • ASME B31.1 power piping
  • ASME B31.1 Boiler external piping
  • ASME B31.3 process piping
  • CSA Z662 steam pipelines

REPAIRS AND ALTERATIONS

  • ASME Sec VIII-1 pressure vessels
  • ASME Sec I power boilers
  • ASME Sec IV heating boilers
  • ASME Section I and API 530 and ASME B31.3 fired heaters
  • CSA B51 Category ‘A’, ‘B’, ‘C’, ‘E’, ‘F’ & ‘H’ fittings

Quinn Contracting Ltd. is also certified to conduct welder performance qualification testing using our in house Welding Examiners. Quinn maintains a large volume of welding procedures to weld a wide variety of materials for our clients using a wide variety of processes.


CANADIAN WELDING BUREAU

Quinn Contracting is certified by the Canadian Welding Bureau as a Division II company for fusion welding of structural steel. Quinn maintains structural welding procedures and data sheets to weld structural steel using the SMAW, FCAW, and GMAW processes for our clients. Structural welding is performed under the Quinn Quality program and all structural projects are inspected and turnover documentation is provided to our clients.
